Solar Defence & Aerospace has announced a $1.4 billion (₹12,800 crore) investment to build a large defence manufacturing facility in Nagpur. The facility will focus on producing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), robotics systems, and missile technologies, strengthening India’s domestic defence production capabilities.

The plant will have the capacity to manufacture up to 10,000 drones annually, along with advanced defence robotics and missile components. The project aims to support India’s push for self-reliance in defence manufacturing and advanced military technologies.
