Adani Defence & Aerospace and Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer have signed an enhanced MoU to establish a Final Assembly Line (FAL) for the E175 regional jet in India. The partnership aims to build a complete ecosystem around the aircraft, including manufacturing, supply chain development, maintenance services, and pilot training.

The E175 aircraft, which can carry around 88 passengers, is designed for regional connectivity and is expected to support India’s growing demand for air travel between Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities. The initiative is part of a broader effort to strengthen India’s aerospace manufacturing capabilities and support regional aviation growth.

Why This Matters

• Strengthens India’s aerospace manufacturing ecosystem
• Supports Make in India and indigenous aircraft production
• Improves regional air connectivity to Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities
• Builds a local supply chain and aviation ecosystem
• Positions India as a global hub for regional aircraft manufacturing
